INTERNATIONAL
Since the mid 1980’s SKA have been involved in various projects internationally. The first ‘project’ was a pro bono community centre in Lesotho for which basic drawings were produced in Ireland and sent out for local construction. SKA became a founding member of FORM, an international body of architectural firms. Continuing to broaden it’s international experience and associations with local architects in a number of locations through more than a dozen projects, SKA have now developed an understanding of the specific issues involved in executing projects in other jurisdictions and the challenges presented by differing environments.
In 2008, Smith & Kennedy architects and O’ Mahoney Pike formed Kompas, a joint venture company with offices now established in Brazil and the Middle East providing a wide range of services internationally.
The international locations SKA are involved in are as follows:
Spain . The United Kingdom . Brussels . Antwerp . Prague
New York . Brazil . Morocco . Algeria . Bahrain
